CADIA is Standing Firm on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

CADIA is  committed to keeping the DEI community informed about the evolving DEI legal landscape in the U.S., the global outlook, and ERG best practices and other relevant topics. We will do this  through our community forums, including monthly member roundtables and CADIA Connects sessions. We have been and will remain outspoken about the business imperative for DEI.  

 

During these challenging times, we aim to be a valuable resource, fostering connections among members facing similar challenges and needs.

 

CADIA RevUp and 2025 Impact Awards: 
A Day of Community

CADIA is excited to announce A Day of Community on the occasion of RevUp 2025. This will be an enriching event dedicated to fostering connections and celebrating excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the automotive industry. The time and format are new, but the objective is the same – bringing DEI champions together to build connections, find inspiration and celebrate our industry.

 

The program will include a keynote address from Dexter Sullivan, President and CEO, Black Legacy Advancement Coalition and talk on the state of DEI in the industry by Cheryl Thompson, Founder and CEO, CADIA. All CADIA Impact Award Recipients will also be announced and recognized.

CADIA Connects April -Driving Opportunity: STEAM Sports Foundation

The STEAM Sports Foundation is paving the way for a more diverse future in motorsports by supporting students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Through scholarships and educational initiatives, the foundation helps underrepresented groups gain access to opportunities in the competitive world of motorsports engineering.

 

On April 8, we will welcome Bob Dickinson, Executive Director of STEAM Sports Foundation. Also joining the conversation is TaiJaune Robinson and scholarship recipient, Jayda Jenkins. Join us to learn more!


CADIA Connects is a no-cost, hour-long Zoom meeting to help professionals stay connected and find common ground. 

 

CADIA DEI Roundtable Discusses ERGs at an In-Person ERG Mixer in Troy 

On April 16, Magna will host an in-person meeting of the DEI Roundtable to talk about ERG best practices for AAPIMental Health and Pride ERGs. Following the meeting will be ample networking opportunities. This face-to-face meeting will take place at a special time, meeting 3 - 4 pm ET and networking 4 - 5 pm ET.  A Zoom option is also available.

 

CADIA encourages all Corporate and Roundtable members to attend and invite ERG leaders to glean best practices, uncover benchmark information and generate new ideas to create both organizational and individual value from existing and future ERGs.

 

If you are already a member, register now. If you are not a member, request a guest invitation to audit an upcoming meeting to see if it's a fit for your company.

 

Membership is open to those who work in some aspect of DEI for automotive, transportation and related companies.

CADIA Connects - May features Accelerator DEI Certification Program Capstone Reports 

The spring Accelerator DEI Certification Program cohort is working on capstone projects that they will share with the broader industry on May 13 during a special CADIA Connects. These projects will join previous cohort projects that offer solutions for automotive organizations in various aspects of DEI.

 

The Accelerator is aimed at DEI professionals, DEI champions, ERG leaders and participants, and anyone who wants to better understand DEI at a personal, professional and systems level.

 

With more that 150 graduates to date, participants  join a community dedicated to advancing DEI in our industry.

 

Join us on May 13 to hear about how your organization can take advantage of the capstone projects. Each project will be available for download at the conclusion of the meeting.

The twice yearly workshops aim to educate, inspire, and empower members and their associates by providing the tools and knowledge needed to foster an inclusive work environment. Who should attend? This offering is designed for all employees - people leaders and individual contributors. 

 

"Manage Your Energy, Not Your Time" will be held noon-1 p.m. ET on June 10 via Zoom.
