CADIA offers more than 25 different workshops live, in person or virtually. One of the most requested workshops is Inclusive Leadership. To remain relevant, leaders must develop the essential skills of inclusive leadership to effectively leverage the diversity of people, perspectives and experiences. DEI Accelerator Program: Apply Now

In December, CADIA graduated the pilot cohort of the CADIA DEI Accelerator Program with rave reviews from participants and their employers. The 13-week program offers a structured opportunity for automotive industry professionals to learn DEI best practices, solve complex organizational challenges and build a DEI professional network.

CADIA and Tecklenburg Advisors co-host a monthly Auto Care Industry DEI Roundtable with support from Chair Lani Glancy, vice president, Talent Development, DEI and Communications, AutoZone. This member-based forum is an open exchange of information and best practices for diversity, equity and inclusion for DEI champions. It is designed for organizations in the auto care industry, including:
- Aftermarket manufacturers
- Distributors
- Vehicle parts and components retailers and related services
- Maintenance and repairs on every class of vehicle
A peer learning community and sharing best-in-class practices are part of the experience.

Automotive News - Workplace Flexibility can Boost Diversity
For dealerships seeking to foster a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion - offering flexibility to employees and listening to their needs are places to start. Cheryl Thompson , CEO at the Center for Automotive Diversity, Inclusion and Advancement, echoed the importance of flexibility in today’s workplace. “I was a young single mother for many years, and I just always wanted that flexibility,” Thompson said. “You would think it’s not that hard…we’re pushing against the status quo. I’m thrilled that’s the silver lining that the pandemic gave us. I just really hope that we don’t have amnesia and that we’re able to bring this flexibility forward and do even better when we can be intentional about it.”
