"CADIA Academy was developed with individual learners in mind.  Giving employees the skills, acumen and confidence to develop and grow is a critical part of any people strategy.  Creating a level playing field encourages diversity and inclusion, upskills all employees and creates inclusive workplaces.  CADIA Academy allows individuals to self pace through the material, and each lesson is short - 5 - 15 minutes - designed for today's learning styles..    --Margaret Baxter, Executive Director, CADIA

CADIA Connects August 13:  Second Chance Hiring

Join CADIA at the next CADIA Connects Aug. 13 when we will be talking about Second Chance Hiring

Second chance hiring refers to the practice of employing individuals with a criminal record, also known as returning citizens. This helps reduce recidivism, fosters social reintegration and addresses labor shortages. By providing job opportunities, businesses gain access to a motivated and often untapped talent pool, enhancing diversity and contributing to a more inclusive economy.

Featured panelists include Denise HallCEO, Peak Performance, Rayshun Holt, Program Director, Beacon of Hope Business Alliance and Program Director, Cincinnati Works, and Jen Gudgel, Global Director of Internal Communications, Engagement, and DEI, Borg Warner. Moderated by Lisa D'Amore, VP DEI, CADIA, this will be an informative session offering tangible take aways and action steps for those interested in learning more about engaging returning citizens.

New member benefit:  Forward Together Workshop Series

CADIA reminds members that the Forward Together Workshop Series is an exclusive new benefit for members and their employees. The biannual workshops aim to educate, inspire, and empower members and their employees by providing them with the tools and knowledge needed to foster an inclusive work environment.

The next workshop will take place Oct. 15, noon - 1 pm ET. The topic is Leadership at Every Level: Inclusive Environments for All. Shifting workplace demographics will challenge all of us to reconsider how we show up as leaders. To remain relevant, leaders must develop the essential skills of inclusive leadership to effectively leverage the diversity of people, perspectives and experiences.

Join us in this workshop to:

  • Define inclusive leadership and why it matters within an organization.
  • Identify the essential traits of inclusive leaders and create a plan for putting them into practice.
  • Build the cultural intelligence required to lead across all demographics.
  • Create employee development plans to ensure all talent has the opportunity for growth.

This interactive session will help attendees learn how to create a sense of purpose and belonging for all stakeholders within an organization.

The workshops are intended for all associates - people leaders and individual contributors.

Don't miss this chance to empower your employees for effective organizational development and successful leadership. Join us for the "Forward Together Workshop Series" and take a step toward fostering a more inclusive work environment for all.

Registration is free and open to all members and their associates. Unsure if your company is a member? Check the CADIA Member Directory for assistance.
