Tuesday, September 9, 2025 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
Topic: The Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation’s Impact & Partnerships
Join CADIA for a special Hispanic Heritage Month edition of CADIA Connects featuring Anita Zavala, Deputy Director, DHDC and Diana Ortega, Board Member, DHDC
Since its founding more than 50 years ago, DHDC has been a cornerstone of hope and transformation in Southwest Detroit — providing innovative programs for youth and adults, fostering economic opportunity, and building safer, thriving neighborhoods.
In this session, we’ll explore:
- DHDC’s rich history and mission
- Youth programs including robotics, tech, and entrepreneurship initiatives
- Adult workforce development through the Community Violence Interruption program and other services
- The challenges facing the community — and how DHDC meets them with creativity and resilience
- Opportunities for partnership and engagement with CADIA members
CADIA Connects is a no-cost, hour-long Zoom meeting designed to help professionals stay connected and find common ground.
